We noticed a man with a walking-stick who could not stand on his feet at the entry to the day care center “Stephania”. He was brought to the center from a hospital where he had spent more than two months with serious injury…

A few months ago an exhausted man was brought to our Fund. He didn’t feel his feet, his body was exhausted. We have provided him with food, shower and new clothes, rendered medical assistance. Alexander, has frostbitten his feet last winter, so our doctors sent him to a hospital for surgery. And now Alexander is near our Fund again. He says “I am an orphan. I have nobody to ask for help. The Fund saved my life once. May be you will help me once more”.

Alexander’stoeswereamputated. He is suffering from phantom-limb pains and is not able to move independently. Besides, Alexander has ICP, so he will hardly ever go… He requires rehabilitation, care and support. We helped Alexander with the documents, and our employees helped him choose a hospital where he will be provided with all necessary assistance. After a six month rehabilitation period we will place him in the home for the disabled.
