Dear friends! We continue to tell you about  fates of the people who found themselves  on the street and about our assistance.

Vasily Ivanovich came to Kyiv to work in 2009/ He worked at a construction site, where he also lived. He was respected as experienced professional… But after work, he often caught himself on thoughts about his life. His wife died, his kids live their own lives, and he remained all alone in this world and nobody needs him anymore. Vasily started drinking – to forget about his sad thoughts. But in one of these moments he was caught drinking. He was fired immediately.

And this is how Vasily found himself in a worse situation, without job, without roof over head.

One late evening he faced bad company on lonely street. Conflict developed and turned into fight. As a result Vasily was beaten, robbed and left on the street. Vasily does not remember for how long he was in this condition.

Fortunately, a woman noticed him on the street and called Homeless Rescue service.

 Vasily was brought to day care Center at our Fund in awful condition. He didn’t wash for many days, he was bleeding and his clothes was covered with blood stains.

The person took a shower in our center, got his hair cut, received new clothes from our warehouse, and had dinner in our soup-kitchen.

It will take time to return Vasil to normal life. He will stay in our Center as long as needed. An experienced therapist will work with him, besides we will provide Vasily with all necessary things and services.

Vasily set his mind on fixing himself up and getting back to previous job, where he is still considered as good specialist.

And we can watch progress of Vasily and believe that he will be ok.
