Our visitor Yuri Skripnik had everything –beloved wife, two sons, good job and comfortable house in one of the towns in Donetsk region. But the war came to them and his life was ruined in one moment, when a shell exploded in his apartment taking lives of all his native people.

The only thing that left is a unbroken strength of mind and friends who were ready to help and give shelter to the ill-fated person. Yuri had to leave ATO zone after the tragedy. This path was not easy. – He was asking drivers to give a lift, kind-hearted people give him food and shelter. There also were people who did not let him in, but Yuri doesn’t blame them for this. He prefers to forgive evil otherwise he could have not overcome grief and despair he is living with.

He lived at his friend’s in Sumy for a while and his friend was giving him food, money etc. But Yuri could not live like a freeloader. It is not his nature. So he moved to Kiev to find a job and to start a new life. But unfortunately it appeared impossible to do this without support. Yuri stayed overnight at the railway station, tried to earn some money to buy some food. Luckily he came to our Charitable Fund “Social Partnership” where he can take a meal, take a shower and get new clothes.

His love of life inspires all people in need and gives them faith that they can also overcome all the difficulties with hope for the best!
