Kyivans donate clothes to disadvantaged women

Clothes collecting project, called “Kyivans for Kyivans” has been implemented since 2012. A lot of things are collected through this project and then are given to the poor, who visit day help center “Stepfania”. More than 50 000 units of clothes were collected and distributed last month only. Since most people in need, who visit our Center, are males we have accumulated a lot of female clothes. So, employees of the Fund decided to share the clothes with disadvantaged people of Ukraine.

There are prisoners, called “denied people” in Ukrainian female prisons. It means that all the relatives and friends turned away from them. Or they have no one left. Such prisoners receive no necessary things, and our government is not capable to take care of all of them. Considering awful conditions for these people, Charity Fund “Social partnership” decided to help them somehow and not to leave them to their fates. Most part of collected female clothes was collected and distributed to four female prisons. Delivery service “Nova Poshta” volunteered to help us fulfill this mission. They will deliver all clothing to four prisons (located in Chernihiv , Ivano-Frankivsk, Cherkasy and Ternopil regions) for free. The Fund thanks “Nova Poshta”delivery service management for a help in delivering the clothes over the regions. Almost 6 thousands of clothes will be given to women in need through our joint efforts, and these warm things will heat them during such cold seasons. 

Winter is not far off. And ambient temperature is lower day by day. More and more homeless people need warm clothes. Don’t hold aloof! Bring your old, unnecessary things to day help center “Stephania” . Let’s save thousands of the poor all together!
