Prisoners received clothes to the amount of 100 000hryvnias!

Charity Fund “Social Partnership” donated 6 000 units of clothes (to the amount of 100 000 hryvnias) to Ukrainian prisoners on Friday 8^th of November.

Uman, Chernygiv, Zbarazh and Galitska penal colonies received the clothes. Courierre service “Nova Poshta” helped our Fund deliver the clothes for the prisoners. This good deed of “Nova Poshta” – is an example of legal person participation in charity, example of sympathy and responsibility. On behalf of our Fund and those in need we express our warmest thanks to the management and employees of “Nova Poshta”!

All delivered clothing was collected under the “Kyivans for Kyivans” project, which had been started in 2012 to provide clothes to more homeless persons in cold seasons, thus saving their lives.

From the date of project start, 1022 Kyivans have been donating their clothes to the bank of humanitarian clothes for people in need. The Fund has managed to provide clothes to more than 6000 people in need within 6 months only. Due to social activity and kind-heartedness of Kyivans we collect enough clothes to share with other charity organizations. And now we could help distressed prisoners.

When colonies’ directors found information about our Fund “Social Partnership” project, they asked us to help those prisoners who were abandoned by their relatives and friends. Such prisoners got nobody to help them with clothes; they don’t have any clothes to put on after expiry of their term of imprisonment.

“Some adjacent churches help such prisoners with the clothes, but it is not enough of course. So thank you very much for your donation!” says Ruslan Rybak, the director of Galitska penal colony №128.
