Fixed soup kitchen

The Fund started its activity from the very opening of this soup kitchen in 1998. Food is a basic human need. One portion of fresh hot meal and kind word can do miracles. We distribute a meal in the open air at the very beginning. Then a soup kitchen for 40 people was built. Nowadays the soup kitchen of day help center "Stephania" is capable to take up to 120 people at a time. There is a dining room for parents with children besides a common dining room. The first cook shift comes to work at 6 a.m. to make up to 2000 portions per day. Cooks make a meal both for the Center (a fixed soup kitchen) and for “Social patrol” mobile service. Our soup-kitchen operates from 09:00 — 18:00 daily.

Can you imagine, our cooks make 50 000– 60 000 portions per month. And every portion means one fed individual. Each person has his own life story. And his story becomes a part of our Center’s story. A hope story for a change for the better. This is most precious thing the Center gives to each person.

Give people a hope! It costs UAH10 only to feed one hungry person . And ten people can be fed for 100 hryvnyas only. Your permanent support will give not just a hope, but will save a human life!
