Winter shoes for homeless people

The cold season is a real struggle for life for homeless and needy pensioners who in this period suffer from a terrible and painful problems - hypothermia and frostbite.

The Medical Center of our fund each month for free medical assistance call 1600-1800 average homeless and needy citizens. In autumn and winter, 80% of homeless people who seek medical help are suffering from frostbite of the extremities. According to statistics, 25-30% suffered from frostbite disabled. More about 1% of these people die a horrible death from hypothermia.

Especially now there is an acute need for warm shoes. Every day, the center is visited by about 300 people, and we are trying to attract / used shoes, which are transmitted to visitors. But unfortunately, the proceeds do not cover our needs.

Therefore, we urgently need financial support yo buy 100 pairs. The warmest and cost-effective footwear for this category of citizens is felt boots with galoshes. The average cost of one - about 150 USD.
