726 human lives saved during the stress of weather, which happened in Kyiv this spring

Since 23rd of March, in connection with abnormal weather conditions, Kyiv philanthropists have  arranged 24-hour heating point in day charity center “Stephania”.

726 people visited the heating point from 23rd to 27th of March. But for this heating point, they could have frozen to death right on the streets, having increased “dry” statistics of the Emergency Situations Ministry.  Indeed, there were no chances to reach any other warm place.

“It is very important to respond promptly to sudden weather changes, because human lives depend on this respond. Falling asleep on the street with ambient temperature about +5°, a person most likely, will never wake up. I appeal to all Kyiv residents to help the homeless and other people who found themselves on the street in bad weather, with clothes, hot tea and sandwiches.  Rememer, they are humans, like you and me. Don’t be indifferent to distress of another. Do good deeds! ” – says Artem Makeev, the President of Charity Fund “Social partnership”.

It is a reminder that the heating point rendered assistance to more than 2.5 thousand people during winter period. The heating point capacity is up to 200 people at one time and it operates in cold season.
