Large family of Grusha

Minimum furniture, lack of water line and canalization, wiring, seemed to be repaired a lot of times, walls from the clayed wood planks of white color, deficit of clothing and toys, a parrot in a cage under the ceiling old stove and a smell of pies – these are the conditions the Grushas kids are raised in.

Normal people, purposeful and hard-working parents Inna and Sergei, despite all endless financial difficulties and lack of personal place of living, live and work every single day doing their best to make their children happy.

They live in a small wooden house in a village of Zhitomir region. There is no work here to be paid money for. To feed the family Sergei and Inna raise vegetables and cereal crops near their house  and keep fowls. But this is not enough to provide children with wholesome food. Inna I Sergei buy milk and meat from the home-folks paying money, received from the government as an assistance to the large family. When money is over Sergei works for farmers in neighbor villages and gets payment by food products.

Inna and Sergei dream to have a cow and a couple of pigs. In that case they would have solved problem of meat and milk, at least partially.

They have no money to allow a pig or a cow but they hope on and have built a shed for cattle.

Their children go to kindergarten and school in a neighbor village and leran very well. They help parents at home and almost don’t have time to play. They simply got used to work, not to play.

The children have simple dreams and wishes comparing with the ones of city children.

Svyatoslav, 13 yearsold. He wants to become a farmer. He has personal vegetable garden near by their house. It is big for the kid, but Svyatoslav has been managing it for two years and partially supplies family with products.

The boy is dreaming about his personal  bee garden, he wants to start own business from this.

He needs to build one beehive and get some bees. He is ready to make a beehive by himself, but he has no money to buy the bees.

Dobrynya, 10 yearold. Heisfondofspaceandmath. His grandmother implanted the love of space to him when presented a scientific journal about space and stars. Dobrynya used to dream about being a cosmonaut, but when he became older he understood that it was impossible. And now he wants to be a farmer, like his brother.

He is dreaming to have vacations at seashore. He says that one should rest sometimes, not work only.

Angelina, 9 years old. She thinks that love to work is a best feature of her nature, and laziness – is the worst one . She wants to become a doctor. She likes dancing and singing. She participates in all school performances, and often sings at home. But Angelina has serious health problems. She progressively suffers from pain in her kidneys.

To diagnose the problem she needs to be medically examined but the family has no money for this.

Angelina’s dream is a concert dress and karaoke with mic. She would make performances at home.

Roxolana, 8 years old. Like her sister, she wants to be a doctor. She dreams to visit a dolphinarium.  This dream appeared when girl knew about efficiency of dolphin therapy. She has heart problems and believes she can be treated swimming with the dolphins. Roxolana has serious problems with heart and needs professional medical examination in a good clinic, and a corresponding treatment. But the family has no money for this.

The girl also dreams about the rollers.

Vladislava (6 yearsold). She is a nature born biologist-stockbreeder. She likes animals and can’t live a day without taking care of the. Vladislava rides on a goat of their neighbors every day. She dreams to have a bear cub and raise him with love and care. Her favorite hobby is watching the butterflies and tending for animals.

Zlata, 4 years old. This girl would have had 3 wishes if she had caught gold fish: a fish in an aquarium, peace in the world and a bike for herself. What to add to this!

Kira, 2 yearsold. Theyoungestgirlinthefamily. Active and curious child. Recently she has run over the housewith smile, but now she is walking carefully and setting teeth. She burned her feet with boiled water and feels terrible pain.

Baby have already had several surgeries. But the result is not that good. Some parts of skin did not sirvive. She needs expensive ointment “Contractubex” for treatment. One tube of this ointment costs UAH 280. One tube is fully used within one day! And the girl needs 2-3 month treatment of her wounds on daily basis!

Zakhar, 7 months old. The boy loves attention, care and mommy’s milk. He needs diapers and communication.

General needs of the family: foodstuff, clothing, footwear, stationery, household goods and hygiene goods. The children also need new toys, fruits and sweets.

Please, help these kids be healthy, do your best to fulfill their dreams!
